What KIND of person do you want to be?
…that question is my beacon on my life journey. I want to be known as someone who leads with kindness. I want to create a community of fellow kindness ambassadors. I believe in a world where, someday, people will share appreciations more easily and often than they’ll share judgements. My greatest hope is that I can start a movement of appreciation through A Few Kind Words. I’d love it if you’d join me.
My Journey:
My journey as a full-time mother, community volunteer, Director of Alumni Relations at a private school, Special Events Consultant and as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children) have enriched my life and been stepping stones that have led me to what I believe is my true calling – coaching.
My Passion:
My passion for my work as a Certified Life & Wellness Coach, through the Health Coach Institute, guides my life’s vision “To let people everywhere know that they matter.” I can’t image more fulfilling work than to help another shine their light more brightly. Through my desire to help a larger audience learn a simple and overlooked way to enhance their own life and increase the greater good, I developed my workshop, A Few Kind Words, The Power of Writing Unexpected Letters of Appreciation. It’s been a privilege to share my workshop with private groups, businesses, non-profits, and churches located across the country. My workshop reinforces my mantra that “our relationships are the most important things in our lives” and we need to proactively nurture them. We’re all worthy and it’s one of the great mysteries of the world to me why we rarely tell people what we admire and appreciate about each other. I have made it my life’s work to change that.
My Delights:
I would rather curl up with a good happily ever after book than cook dinner any night. My soul is restored when I am surrounded by the expansive, majestic mountains and big bluebird sky. Cities are a last resort for me. I don’t drink coffee but a sweet and frothy chai latte with oat milk is divine! The day the first peony opens in my garden is a day of celebration and reverence. It’s like welcoming back a friend. Both my garden and my friends nourish me, and my family sustains me. My husband of 36 years, our son and daughter, their spouses and our two adorable, mischievous grandsons complete my circle of love. I live in Pennington, New Jersey with my husband and our sweet 16 year old dog, Ella. I am writing my first book titled after my workshop, A Few Kind Words, The Power of Writing Unexpected Letters of Appreciation.
